The five-year Strategic Plan highlights our priorities, which include strengthening the human rights culture in the country by holding the State accountable to uphold its commitments and obligations under the regional and international human rights treaties to which The Gambia is a signatory. We will, additionally, promote the harmonization of domestic laws, policies and practices with international and regional treaties and human rights standards. This will ensure that human rights will be respected, protected and upheld in our country for years to come.
